Produced for MTB Bank by Engelhard Industries in a very limited run to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty was gifted to the US in 1886 and these 1oz Platinum Proofs were produced in 1986. Uniquely, this example was found with the Assay Certificate paper that documents "Minted & Assayed by Engelhard Corporation" for MTB Bank. We cannot say for certain if this is factory sealed or by MTB bank/3rd party but the proof coin is in mint uncirculated condition which leads us to believe it has been in the seal for most of the coins life. Truly a rare find for any Engelhard collector.
